This acorn puzzle toy is really cute, and definitely works like it's supposed to. The lid stays on and the hole in the side isn't too big or too small for dog kibble -- at least the kind we buy for our dogs.
As you can see in the video, my dog really liked it (he always takes food-related items into his crate). And he totally got the idea that you have to roll it around to get the food to come out.
I love that the top of the acorn is really thick rubber, really heavy duty. Oddly, the bottom part of the acorn is made of what appears to be silicone, and it's much thinner. While Finley wasn't feeling destructive today, I can imagine that if he decided to shred it to bits, he'd have no trouble doing it in about 20 seconds flat.
If you have medium- or smaller-sized dog, or one that isn't inclined to shred things, they're going to really enjoy this toy.
